A Tribute to Marilyn Hardacre

HardacreMoviePoster LOW RESMarilyn and Jerry Hardacre arrived in Marshfield in 1966. Jerry was recruited as a surgeon at Marshfield Clinic. Marilyn and Jerry fell in love with Marshfield.

Within a short period of time, Marilyn became involved in Civic and Government activities. Really involved. Marilyn saw the potential in our city. Her vision and her leadership would lead her into the local political scene, eventually becoming Marshfield’s first female Mayor, and a popular one at that.

Later she moved on to countless other projects-all of which enhanced our community in so many ways. The new Hardacre Park is but a token of our appreciation and respect for Marilyn.

Listen to what some of her friends and colleagues have to say about her contributions to the growing and vibrant Marshfield of today.

This video premiered at Rogers Cinema in Marshfield on October 15, 2015. It was produced by Marshfield Community Television, with photos courtesy of Dan Young and Gannett Media.
