Adler Kodiak Bear Exhibit Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting (HD)

Screen Shot 2015-10-26 at 4.18.58 PMThe Adler Family Kodiak Bear Exhibit celebrated its grand opening and ribbon cutting on Saturday, October 24 at Wildwood Zoo in Marshfield, WI.
The ceremony featured comments from Mayor Chris Meyer, Parks Director Justin Casperson, Zoological Society President Tom Buttke, Zookeeper Steve Burns, & of course…appearances by the two newest members of Wildwood Zoo: Kodiak Bear cubs Munsen & Boda (rescued after their mother was illegally shot in Kodiak Island, Alaska).

New Visions Gallery’s “Shelter & Love” Exhibit Preview

Screen Shot 2015-10-22 at 3.11.41 PMHost and MAPS President Karen Rau and New Visions’ Bobbie Erwin talk about New Vision Gallery’s upcoming Shelter & Love, a juried exhibition to raise awareness of pet homelessness.
An opening reception will take place on November 8 from 1:00-3:30 p.m., featuring Hands On Art and Meet the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter (MAPS). The exhibit runs November 9 – December 31, 2015.
In partnership with Marshfield Area Pet Shelter (MAPS), a nonprofit volunteer based organization engaged in raising funds to build a humane shelter for the greater Marshfield area, this national juried exhibition will consider broad interpretations of the concept of “shelter” and raise awareness of pet homelessness in the Marshfield community.

A Tribute to Marilyn Hardacre

 

Screen Shot 2015-10-22 at 3.04.23 PMMarilyn saw the potential in our city. Her vision and her leadership would lead her into the local political scene, eventually becoming Marshfield’s first female Mayor, and a popular one at that.
Later she moved on to countless other projects-all of which enhanced our community in so many ways. The new Hardacre Park is but a token of our appreciation and respect for Marilyn.

Council Preview of October 26 Meeting
